Background

Background :

English by birth, Denys was brought up in Assam in India where his father managed a tea estate for 22 years. (Langharjan Tea Estate - Dibrugarh)

After that his parents moved to Uganda and Kenya again in tea, and then the family returned to the UK in 1975 where they settled in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Denys believes his drive and determination comes from his younger days as an England international hockey player. Aged 15, whilst at Warwick School, he was selected to play for England at Schoolboy level. He subsequently went on to play over 100 times for England in both Indoor and Outdoor hockey.

In 1994 , aged 29 - Denys started DCS Europe, named after his his initials DCS .

In just 14 years Denys has grown DCS to sales of over £120m employing 200 people.

DCS Group Holdings is based in Stratford-upon-Avon on an 11 acre privately owned site which has 280,000 sq ft of offices and warehousing.
